Newton Solney Annual Open Show

3rd September 2022

Newton Solney Horticultural Society 2024

Newton Solney Horticultural Society are holding a Plant Sale on Saturday 25th May at Newton Village Hall.

This year the sale has Radio Derby’s “Potty Plotters” attending who will be there to give advice on gardening issues and how to make your newly bought plants flourish.

The ladies are well known to Radio Derby listeners for their knowledge of plants and quick wit, and are frequently recorded on the Radio at their allotments.

The sale has free admission for all and runs for the morning only.

The Village Show will be held  on 31st August.  Show schedules will be available later in the year but in the meantime, for those who like to be well prepared, the photography subjects will be ‘Sport and Games’, ‘Rain’ and a photograph to depict a ‘Book Title’ of your choice. There will be separate categories (any subject) for children/young people. The set handicraft this year will be a hand made greetings card (any occasion)
